Our mission is to provide support and leadership to enhance socio-economic aspects of African-American communities in the Greater Kansas City area.

Grant Making
Grants usually range in size from $2000 to $10,000. No organization may have more than one active grant or grant request with the Black Community Fund at any time. In general, the Black Community Fund will not be the sole or primary funder of a proposed project or organization.
Scholarship Fund
The Black Community Scholarship Fund was established by the Black Community Fund (BCF) Board of Directors to provide scholarship support to students from the Greater Kansas City area seeking educational advancement through a college or university degree or accredited certificate program in areas and fields determined by the Black Community Fund Board of Directors.
Vision Workshop
The Vision Workshop aims to equip grassroots nonprofits with the skills and knowledge they need to thrive, ultimately leading to stronger, more resilient communities.
By investing in capacity-building programs tailored to the needs of grassroots nonprofits, the Black Community Fund can empower them to create lasting and positive change within their communities.
