Sidney’s bio

Sidney Smith is a Kansas City native who serves as the Chief Operating Officer at Nonprofit Connect, a national association dedicated to the success of the nonprofit sector. He brings nearly a decade of executive leadership experience serving in roles as Executive Director and Chief Executive Officer.

Sidney’s education is rooted in business with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Missouri-Columbia, and graduate studies from the Executive MBA program at Rockhurst University.

He consults with many nonprofits on strategic planning and business fundamentals, recognizing continued community impact only comes through financial sustainability and sound business practices. He enjoys spending his spare time traveling, bowling, and rooting on his beloved back-to-back Super Bowl Champion, Kansas City Chiefs.
