Join Rob Gibson and Nate Madden from Health Forward Foundation as they provide an overview of the dos and don’ts of nonprofit policy advocacy, how advocacy is a key way to make progress towards racial equity and justice and facilitate a learning activity to help you get thinking about policy work in your organization.
Robert Gibson
Robert joined Health Forward in 2023 and serves as an impact strategist focusing on policy and advocacy. He assists in developing and executing Health Forward’s local advocacy strategies in pursuit of our policy goals. Previously, Robert served as a program coordinator for clinical and community initiatives at Vibrant Health. He earned a bachelor’s degree in science from Morehouse College, a Master of Bio-Medical Science from Rowan University, and a Master of Public Health from Rutgers University.
Nate Madden
Nate Madden
Nate has been doing state policy work at Health Forward since 2022, where he works on achieving Health Forward’s policy goals with partner organizations and communities. Previously, he served as an evaluation analyst at the Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation and did policy advocacy for Kansas Action for Children prior to that. He earned a bachelor’s degree in political science from Minnesota State University, Mankato, and a Ph.D. in political science from the University of Missouri.
